Working with non-native English speakers has been a passion of mine over the last eight years. Having worked internationally (South Korea, Malaysia, China, and Ireland) with ESL students and ESL teachers I have a wealth of knowledge and experience that I feel would be an asset as your tutor. I have been instrumental in the teaching and implementation of two intensive English immersion programs with Kean University (2015 and 2016) and I understand the necessity of these programs for incoming ESL students. As a lecturer, advising students is just as important as teaching them. I have experience advising English major students and guiding not only their course selection but also their academic goals. Setting my students realistic, achievable academic goals is one of their best pathways to success. I have presented my ESL research at two international TESOL conferences (Malaysia 2014, Dubai 2017).
